Vendage Table with Carved Detail

Offering a very special French Cherry Wood C. 1850 Vendage table. This whimsical table features four (4) different animal carvings at the foot of each base. Original finish and working mechanisms make this French Vendage table all the more exclusive.

A vendage table was usually used during the grape harvest when workers could sit and dine and drink at this unusual table. When not in use the table was simply folded as seen and stored away.

There are some marks and cracks in the table top as well as some slight warping. This is to be expected due to the design of the table as well as age and use.
